A.S.W. Rosenbach and Seymour de Ricci in the Interwar Period
‘At the Rosenbach Museum and Library (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a rich collection of the correspondence between A. S. W. Rosenbach (1876 – 1952) and Seymour de Ricci (1881 – 1942). These letters exchanged between Rosenback, America’s leading antiquarian bookseller in the 1920s and 1930s, and de Ricci, arguably the greatest bibliographer of the period, shed much light on the activities of both men. The letters also provide valuable insights into the international rare book trade during one of it’s most exciting times.’
